PPTP Installation on Windows Vista
PPTP isn't built into any Le VPN app - it's set up manually using the VPN client built into Windows Vista. This guide walks you through it, plus what to use instead if you don't specifically need PPTP.

PPTP is an older protocol with known security weaknesses, and it isn't built into any Le VPN app - so manual setup is the only way to use it. For the best speed and security, use our new Windows app with Wireguard or Stealth Wireguard instead - simpler and more secure than any manual configuration. Manual PPTP Setup on Windows Vista
Windows Vista has a built-in PPTP client - no extra software needed. Follow these steps to set it up.

Open the Network and Sharing Center
Go to the Windows Start menu, open Control Panel, then Network and Sharing Center. Click Set up a connection or network, choose Connect to a workplace, then Next, then Use my Internet Connection (VPN).

Enter the server address
In the Internet address field, enter your chosen server's hostname (e.g. uk.zeropointer.net, fr.zeropointer.net) - see the full server list. Type a name like "Le VPN" in the Destination name field, check Don't connect now, then click Next.

Save your credentials and connect
Enter your VPN username and password (leave Domain blank), check Remember this password, then click Create and Close. To connect, click Start, then Connect To, select your connection, and click Connect.
Once connected, confirm it worked by checking your IP address - it should show the VPN server's location, not your own.
