Online Safety week during the 9th Annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month (US)

The month of October is traditionally a National Cyber Security Awareness Month in the US. This tradition was started 9 years ago by the Department of Homeland Security, National Cyber Security Alliance and the Multi-State Information and Analysis Center that work together to promote the awareness of internet safety to public as well as to their partners in the private sector.

Each week in October has it own theme, and now we are in the Week 3 which is dedicated to Online Safety for Business / Industry.

More and more businesses suffer online attacks on their website and networks, as well as run a serious risk of the theft of their intellectual property. Same risks are running individuals when they connect online via unsecure networks and don’t use such online security tools like a VPN connection.
